Join Us for a Mini Farmers Market Bike Ride to Hope Farms! 🚴‍♀️🌻

Start your Saturday with fresh air, good company, and a ride along one of Houston’s scenic bayou trails!

We’ll pedal from Garden Villas Park to Hope Farms for their Mini Farmers Market, then swing by the brand new Sims Bayou Park before heading back. It’s a relaxed morning ride that’s mostly on the Sims Bayou Trail, with just a couple of blocks on city streets.

Level of Difficulty:
This is altogether about a 15-mile, beginner-friendly social bike ride, so everyone is welcome!

Important:

• ⛑️ Helmets are required.

• This is a social ride at a comfortable pace, with most of the route on the Sims Bayou Trail.

Ride Details:

• Date: Saturday, September 5

• Meet: 7:30 AM

• Roll out: 8:00 AM sharp

• Return: By 11:00 AM (or earlier)

Starting Location: 📍 Garden Villas Park, 6720 S Haywood Dr, Houston, TX 77061

Parking
Parking at Garden Villas Park and Community Center (6720 S Haywood Dr) is available on-site and is free for visitors, though space capacity directly at the small community center lot is limited. Additional street parking is typically accessible along S Haywood Drive and surrounding neighborhood blocks.

How to find the Group:
Look for the Bikers and the BCO Sign.

What to Bring:
-Helmet
-Water/sports drink*
-Tools & spare inner tube in case of a flat tire.
-Sunscreen
-Some money and a basket for your shopping

* How much water/sports drink you need depends on various factors: how hydrated you are before the ride, the temperature; & how strenuous the ride is for you. Most of us bring along at least two 21-ounce water bottles.
