Contra Dancing – Like called line dancing with partners
About the Event:
Contra dancing is similar to “Square Dancing,” but it is done in lines rather than in a 4-couple square. A caller “walks through” (tells dancers) the dance pattern a time or two, then it starts with the music, and the caller continues to call out the pattern.
Level of Difficulty:
You don’t need a partner, but it is good for couples too. You don’t need to be an experienced dancer, but it helps to know your right from left feet (just saying)
