About this trip:
Backpacking – You need to either carry everything you want to bring with you or reserve a mule to put your stuff on.
You’ll backpack in about 10 miles. Set up a base camp for 3 nights. Then you can do day hikes from inside the canyon. There are other waterfalls to explore or have a relaxing day in the water at the falls.
Camping is primitive, but it can get crowded down there. You’re able to set up anywhere you can find a spot once you arrive in the camping area. There is a facet to refill water near the campground.
The person listed on the permit MUST be present and have all of the paperwork the entire time on the trip.
Trip Costs:
Permits & Camping:
- $500 per person (Due today, 100% refund if we don’t get permits, 95% refund if someone takes your spot)
Additional Fees:
- Bring your own food and gear
- Share costs for rental car, gas, and parking.
- Plan for airfare to the nearest airports (Las Vegas, followed by Phoenix).
- Secure accommodation for at least one night before and after backpacking.
