Memorial Park All the Way Around Hike

This is a 6-mile circumnavigation of Memorial’s greenest backwoods off the main trails and along some of Buffalo Bayou.

Level of Difficulty: This is real hiking at a medium pace along some rugged, uneven terrain, with plenty of ups and downs.

You should be okay with rugged trail conditions and some steep, but short, inclines. You might want a hiking pole for this one. But it’s 90% in the shade.

We’ll be out there for between 2-3 hours, so bring a couple of water bottles or at least 1.5 liters of H20, and an energy snack. If it’s been wet, there may be mosquitoes, and if it’s too muddy, we’ll hike on the level, paved/groomed trails instead. Will cancel completely if raining at that time.
