New Year’s Day Hike
Public – Start your year off with some exercise and fresh air!
Whether you have big plans for a New Year’s Resolution or not, Today, we just hike!
That’s it. One small commitment. One hike. You don’t have to go out and buy “All the gear.” Just show up for 1 hike. And plan to talk to 1 person you’ve never talked to before.
Start your year off with some exercise and fresh air!
About the Hike:
It’s actual dirt trails with some sandy spots and some hills. Well maintained. We’ll hike about 6 miles.
Level of Difficulty:
All levels but you should be able to hike about 25-30 min miles. We’ll go the pace of the group or split into 2 groups if needed. We’ll stop to make sure everyone is comfortable with the pace. We leave no one behind so you don’t have to worry about getting lost on the trail.
Dog Friendly for Friendly Dogs
You must have water and poop bags for your dog. All dogs must stay on a short leash. Please do not let your dog approach other people and especially do not approach other dogs.
Members may bring their kids to member events, but we’re primarily an adult outdoor social club.
What to bring:
– Sturdy shoes
– Layers – you’ll warm up as you hike
– Water for you and your dog if you bring one
– A snack or lunch – after the hike, we’ll find a spot to eat
– A chair to sit in after the hike
– Comfortable shoes to change into after the hike

Meet in the parking lot right before the nature center. Please add 10 minutes to the commute time to get to the back of the park. The commute time gets you to the front of the park only.
