I found the perfect spot for a couple of private rooms, shared rooms, tent camping, and RVs!! Could even bring a horse if you want!
Plus!! “Tranquil creek bottoms, rugged canyons, and scenic plateaus invite you to the 40 miles of trails. You’re sure to be intrigued as you discover the diverse ecosystems and cultural history that await on the adventure ahead”
AND it’ll be very close to the new moon… so STARS!!
We have our very own area of the park that is even gated! No other campers nearby!
We’re headed to Hill Country State Natural Area! We have a 4 bedroom house with a kitchen and 1.5 baths. Plus camping and RV spots.
Activities:
Hiking: There are over 40 miles of trails within the park! With elevation reaching almost 2,000 feet!
Star gazing: It’s going to be a new moon on the 23rd so the sky should be pretty dark while we’re there. Bring your telescopes!
Horseback Trail Riding: $140 for a 3-hour trail ride. NEED TO BOOK IN ADVANCE! Looks like there are multiple options. 4 hours plus lunch. 2-hour sunset ride, etc.
Dutch Oven Restoration 101: As long as there is no burn ban, I’ll be restoring some of my dutch ovens. Few others I’ll use for our community meals. You by no means have to help but if you’re interested, you’re more than welcome.
Fees:
Fees include accommodations for 3 nights, 3 dinners, 3 breakfasts & 2 lunches, and firewood.
Amy’s making a Turkey!! Depending on everyone’s ETA, we’ll decide if we do this on Thursday or Friday.
We can accommodate a variety of food needs so let me know what you need!

Entrance Fees: Plus an additional $5 per day per person unless you have a state park pass.
Dogs: You can have a dog in the tent or RV but not in the building.
Where to park:
The first 16 cars can park at the house. Afterward, we’ll have to park in overflow parking so please try to carpool.
