Yes! The group is very good at teaching new people and they are there to have fun so it’s not very competitive.

Hi, Sue. This is Ronald Joe. I have led many pickleball events for BCO. We BCO members appreciate you interested in the nation’s faster growing sports: Pickleball (PB)!

Have you attended BCO pickleball PB events yet?

    As you may know:

    1. PB is VERY easy to learn. If you’ve ever played tennis, ping pong, or badminton — you pretty much already know how to play PB!

    2. PB equipment, such as paddles, balls, and shoes are available everywhere. Just about everyone I know gets their gear on Amazon. There are MANY, MANY options, of course. Search the web or talk to experienced PB-ers for advice. Many BCO members will let you borrow their paddles to help you “try before you buy.”

    3. Like most things, there’s TONS of PB info on the web. Instructional videos at YouTube, various PB league and PB coach sites, and elsewhere are especially helpful.

    4. Best of all: I have had the joy to learn that BCO PB-ers are the NICEST people on the planet! We love playing PB, but we don’t take it (or ourselves!) too seriously. A BCO PB event is not just about the PB; we love to have fun while getting some great exercise (like ALL BCO events!). We BCO members are working to offer more than one many PB event around the greater Houston area each week. Keep checking the BCO Calendar.

I hope to see at a BCO PB event soon!

    Cheers!
